Pinar Bayrak Toydemir​

President​

Pinar is a professor of Pathology at the University of Utah, and a Medical Director of Genetics and Genomics at ARUP Laboratories. She received her MD and PhD degrees from Ankara University School of Medicine in Turkey. She came to Salt Lake City in 2002 for her Clinical Molecular Genetics fellowship training. Falling in love with the mountains, she made Utah her home. She lives with her two sons and a loving husband. Her family enjoys traveling, cooking, and many outdoor activities such as hiking, camping and skiing.

Pinar is a founding member of Utah Turkish American Association (UTAA). Her passion is to bring the Turkish community together and introduce Turkish culture to Utahns. She actively helps and supports Turkish students attending schools in Utah. She loves organizing events to share Turkish history and culture.
