Vice President
Ahmet is a software architect/engineer at WCF Insurance. He was born and raised in Turkiye, studied Computer Science and Engineering at Hacettepe University in Ankara, and has lived in the USA for over 25 years.
He lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 18 years and traveled to Utah for business so many times, only to realize that changing seasons are so beautiful in Utah and not a match to boring California weather. Combined with the awesome people he works with, and the amazing outdoor playground offered by the beautiful state of Utah, he decided to move here permanently seven years ago.
He has two daughters, the second has two times more legs than the first one has! He currently lives with his four-legged daughter, Lokum. She is the favorite dog of the whole Turkish American Community in Utah. You can see Ahmet going for hikes with Lokum year-round in the beautiful trails around. He is also a longtime volunteer with the Rescue Rovers, a local all-volunteer based dog rescue organization in Utah. He is passionate about his Turkish soccer team Besiktas and does not care about any other team! He also loves music and plays percussion instruments and baglama, a traditional Turkish string instrument, for the local Turkish music band Kechi.
